BountyShift

The mobile app

One app for iOS and Android. The notification arrives the moment a job lands; you take the slot there and upload the proof there.

What the phone can do

Notifications and taking work

A job matching your level and a free slot reaches you. Taking it is one tap, and since acceptance sits with the company it commits you to nothing.

Web and mobile jobs

Both types can be run entirely from the phone. The recordings and screenshots are already on it.

Earnings

Your balance, work awaiting acceptance and past payouts. The earnings statement downloads from here too.

Availability and profile

Adding devices, updating roles, notification hours. You can close the hours you would rather not be reached.

Where the phone is not enough

For desktop and embedded work the run record is kept by the desktop agent. A phone cannot reach a serial console, JTAG or a virtual machine, so the agent is required there.

  • Desktop work: the agent is required
  • Embedded work: the agent and a physical connection are required
  • Web and mobile work: the phone alone is enough

When it ships

The app is not in the stores yet. We will announce it on this page and email everyone on the list when it is. Until then you reach the queue over the web, so applying now costs you nothing in waiting.

We will tell you when it ships

Apply now and you get queue access on the web straight away, and hear first when the app lands.

What BountyShift is

BountyShift is a marketplace for software testing work. Companies send their new builds here to be tested, and the work is done entirely remotely — from home, on your own computer or phone. There are five kinds of job: website, mobile app, desktop software, embedded device and game testing. Every job's fee is known before you take it and is fixed; it does not change with how many faults you find, and a job where you find nothing is still paid. Payments run weekly, and no commission is taken from testers.
