Frequently asked questions
What comes up most during applications and first jobs.
How are slots decided?
There are two separate slot counts. The job has its own: the client writes how many testers it takes, and it drops off the queue once full. And you have yours: your level sets how many jobs you can hold at the same time.
Does the number of bugs I find change the fee?
No. The fee is fixed per accepted job and written on the job. Finding zero bugs does not stop a report being accepted — what we pay for is that the cases were run.
How do I prove I ran the test?
The agent records the environment fingerprint and a start and end timestamp for every case by itself. You add screenshots, recordings, logs and reproduction steps on top. The two go in one package and cannot be edited afterwards.
What happens if my report is rejected?
The client has to give a reason. You can dispute it, and the dispute is judged on the run record. If it goes your way the fee is released and your acceptance rate is untouched.
When am I paid?
The value of an accepted job is added to your balance, and payouts run weekly. No commission is taken from testers.
What do embedded jobs need?
Access to the physical device, a serial console connection, and the cabling and power it needs. Testers without the device never see embedded notifications. These are the best paid jobs in the queue.
What if I cannot finish a job in time?
Your slot is released automatically and the job returns to the queue. The first time, your acceptance rate is untouched; if it repeats, your concurrent slot count drops one step.
How many people take the same job?
As many as the listed slot count. How many testers hit the same bug is separate information for the client, so jobs are opened to several people on purpose.
How do levels go up?
On your acceptance rate over the last thirty days and the number of jobs you have completed. Level 2 needs five accepted jobs and an 85% acceptance rate; the thresholds rise from there.
How long does an application take?
Applications are decided within the same week. Approved testers start at level 1 and can usually take their first job the same day.
